ASMP is the leading trade association with over 6,500 members in 39 chapters across the country, working to promote photographers’ rights, providing education in better business practices, producing business publications for photographers, and helping to connect clients with top professional photographers.  We are the South Florida Chapter, with a growing mix of 300 seasoned professionals and young emerging photographers in our ranks.

 

As a Society, we gather the most diverse group of professional photographers in commercial photography and specialists in the United States. Our member's are experts in Advertising, Editorial, Sports, Aerial, Underwater, Event, Architecture, Photojournalism, Food, Travel, Fashion, Beauty, Fine Art and all related areas of the “high end lifestyle” that is reshaping the market.

 

As the premier professional group, we are the ones responsible for capturing and representing your brand, featuring your products, and helping promote corporations, goods and services in their best light, through our still and moving images. We are Media People who have been doing it for over 65 years.

 

ASMP/South Florida champions and supports social causes with their volunteered services, to groups such as Heart Gallery, Save the Children, Flashes of Hope… It has accomplished many projects that help bring awareness to our great state; “Picture South Florida” 24 hours in our state,  “The Chapter Archive” a collection of non commercial images representing the artistic side of our photographers… and now, we are proud to present our most recent and dearest project:

 

“Light of Florida”

                                                              

“Light of Florida” is a collaborative project created by the South Florida Chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers with support from the Central Chapter the ASMP.  The goal is to produce a premium coffee table book and Internet portfolio.  In creating this publication, we hope to promote Florida as the place to produce effective still and motion images for media of all kinds, and give exposure to the most creative and diverse group of photographers in the country.  The images feature people and places captured in the unique and varied natural light that makes Florida a great place to photograph and produce imagery of all kinds. All submissions were made by members of ASMP in Florida and judged by an impartial panel of media professionals.

We are seeking sponsors to partner with us in our goals.

• Your name and logo linked to our “Find A Photographer” site, which our 6500 members participate in and is viewed regularly by the general public.

• Having your name and logo displayed at every “Light of Florida” Print Exhibition, including the one currently in Key West.  You will receive recognition from countless thousands of people.
